HERE'S MY STORY:
Lily + Lion is a theory of encompassing both delicate & strong within one vessel, the fierce yet subtleness found within all people. Jeovanna has a special appreciation for balance & creating Lily + Lion is just evidence of that. She has encapsulated both her ideology, a creative outlet, products & a place that births happiness daily. You can tell by all the giggling going on inside! The name "Lily" also pays homage to a long generational line of strong latina woman in her family who are named Lily, like Jeovanna's mother.
As a young girl L+L Salon founder, Jeovanna, was captivated with the idea of bringing out everyones best self. Growing up in her mama's daycare in Ocean Beach CA, she would regularly line up the kitchen chairs and would play pretend “salon” with the kids, as she styled their hair with braids gelled up mohawks and even face paint. Growing up she experimented with makeup and learned to cut hair by cutting her own hair. She always loved the instant gratification it provided. Little did she know this was the beginning of a life-long styling journey!
She followed her styling passion and graduated in 2003 from Bellus Academy of Design in San Diego. Shortly after, she took her gifted hands to her first salon in Ocean Beach Renovations. She quickly excelled and within two years found herself at one of the top 50 hair salons in the country, Salon Tonic in Little Italy. This is where & began her passion for education. There, as a Bumble and bumble signature salon stylist she was able to receive exclusive training at the House of Bumble in NYC and Vidal Sassoon in Santa Monica. This is where she cultivated her own indy signature of craft styling that pioneered the marriage of embracing natural texture & classical geometric cuts. From there, she moved onto Salon Hyde Edwards, yet another gold standard salon in San Diego. In her spare time Jeovanna is obsessed with music, travel, architecture & being immersed in different cultures. Her favorite color is orange and all things that contain pattern or texture. Her favorite foods are her moms enchiladas & her nonnas spaghetti! She gets recharged by experiencing different places and people in all corners of the earth like Australia (where she lived for a year) Spain, New Zealand, Indonesia, Fiji, France but especially Baja California Mexico and Italy where she visits her family. This is the reason you will see Newports only cactus on the mural outside mingling with San Diego native plants like sage, poppies and agave to show how important it is to not forget where you are from - but to bloom where you are planted.

Lily + Lion Salon was born in Newport, Rhode Island in the Broadway district. Jeovanna started with humble beginnings & has grown her brand into the success that it is now.
"I'm here to welcome people in from all walks of life. I pride myself on having on of the first gender neutral service menu in 2010. I have created a salon space where all people, all hair textures, all ages & all styles are welcome. I have kept my integrity in this industry by staying true to who I am. I believe the most authentic approach to guiding the creation of your own style is when YOU play an integral part of the process, rather than me just doing what is trending now. When you are in my chair you receive a one of a kind personal style coaching experience that you will not find anywhere else. This ultimately creates a look that is completely unique to you". Lily + Lion Salon also has a collection of vetted products that are high performing, so you don't have to be. This simple, educational, warm & inviting salon culture Jeovanna has created is the common thread of everything she creates & it is what sets her apart from everyone else.
I believe "beauty" is a curious non-judgement journey; an ever evolving adventure in creating the best version of yourself. And like all great adventures, it's the most fun when shared with other folks like you!

IN PERSON OR ONLINE CONSULTATION $30
This is a vital 1st step to great hair performed in person or Facetime, email, or text. In-person color and/or haircut consultations last approximately 30 min. Text consultations are complimentary.
ALL COLOR SERVICES $90-$100/hour
All color is priced hourly. The timing & price will be customized more or less according to your desired color goals which are determined during your personal consultation.
CUT + TREATMENT
All haircuts include a treatment of choice: Purifying, Repairing, or Glossing along with our signature scalp massage, blow out & style. Timing & price will be customized according to your personal treatment choice & cut preferences.
HOLISTIC HAIR TREATMENT
This signature treatment is customized for your hair and scalp. Relax while we perform our exclusive dry brush exfoliation techniques to slough off dead flaky skin that clog pores & slows hair growth. Unique scalp detoxifying serums are applied using cranial sacral massage finishing with a customized 3 zone mask
PIXIE or BARBER CUT
Short haircuts for all people: pixie, barber, scissor over comb, razor or clipper cuts all start at

Lily + Lion's newest addition is the Bronze Bungalow for our babes who want to keep that island girl glow all year long. We offer clean non toxic NUDA brand solutions that are all custom formulated. So you can choose the lightest natural sun kissed tan or a full resort style bronze. Our founder, a San Diego native, was used to sun all day every day. But, with a family history of melanoma in her family she has seen the brutal havoc it costs. This made her a strong believer in staying outta those harmful rays. Now she wants to share her glowing secret with you, because who says you can't have it all?
